The inspiration for this creation came from a piece of sand stone which had been core-drilled to cradle wine bottles. Each piece is totally unique and provides “cool” storage for your favorite bottle.
This one-off design by Joe Horney is a unique use of Joe’s favorite artistic medium – concrete! Joe’s inspiration for this creation came from a piece of sand stone, which had been core-drilled to cradle wine bottles.
This project started with the removal of the original 12’ x 12’ concrete pad, which was replaced by a new, 410 sq. ft. stamped concrete patio. The new patio was free form shaped and includes a dedicated fire pit, with seat walls between columns at each points of entry into the yard. The caps on the columns are custom designed to mimic the slate pattern used on the patio.
This job included an upper L shaped bar, lower counter height top, sink top and counter space over lower storage cabinets. The cast-in-place pour permits a seamless installation. The Tiki Bar L shaped and lower tops are 2” thick with ½” rebar reinforcing and polished finish. They were cast with a blend of white and grey Portland cement, sea glass and sea shells, for the Caribbean theme.
